Is her dress red?
It is, yes!
The Operations symbol on her assignment patch is a dead giveaway to a red dress. (Thank you, Memory Alpha.)
Well, yes. By far the vast majority of services division officers have red uniforms and the spiral symbol on their assignment patches, I myself might make exceptions. For example, there’s an episode in TOS where an Engineer (who’s identified as one!) is seen wearing a blue uniform. Now presumably they just handed her one that fit at the time and I assume -though memory fails me- that her symbol was a sciences double-circle. Because all blue uniforms have them. But in my little fan-canon, it seems redundant to have TWO assignment signifiers that are always the same. So I might show that character as having a blue uniform (Maybe she’s science trained? Or it’s a rarely used crossover department?) with a temporary spiral assignment patch.
If I had the steam to do this strip in colour it’d be a lot more fun. But alas, I tried and I just didn’t have the energy/time/motivation.
IIRC, there may have been a cross or caduceus symbol on the blue uniforms of the Medical staff (Bones, Chapel, etc.) Or at least it was spec’d out in maybe the Medical Manual that came out in the late 70’s.
But seeing this in full 60’s Technicolor would be amazing!
(Speaking of color, is anything happening with either the James Bond story, or the 3rd-party artist who was coloring The Ten Doctors?)
Yes, Nurse Chapel had a bright red cross on her assignment patch, Bones just had the usual sciences double circle. I’ve seen images of a patch with a lambda in it, but I don’t think I’ve been able to spot it in the series itself.
As for “A Time to Kill” I’ve been contacted by Richie very recently and we’re going to address a rewrite (some of our story doesn’t jive with canon) and no, I haven’t heard from our colourist in ages. Assuming we get our act together and finish the story it may have to be in my own B&W pencil style. As for the colourist who was doing “The 10 Doctors”, I lost contact with her years ago. If anyone’s interested, the pages are there. I can barely look at it, though. I’m not pleased with the art so much anymore.
I never realized Zahra died. I am, of course, assuming that that’s a kill beam.
