I think Pierre from Forever Janette might make a cameo in this story somehow, although if The Master turns up, given the Pertwee era, it might be the Delgado Master, rather than the Ainley version…

Just as lots of planets have a north, lots of men (especially in Elizabethan times) have facial hair. I’m 99.9% certain that both men are who Rich says they are. Yes, I’m the type of person who likes to leave at least 0.1% wiggle room.

Vincent Price’s work in England in the 70s has an unusual Dr Who connection. He starred in a BBC radio serial called “Aliens in the Mind” alongside the two “alternative” versions of the first Doctor (Peter Cushing was his co-star and Richard Hurndall played one of the villains) and the whole series was based on a rejected DW storyline by Robert Holmes!

It’s well worth tracking down a copy if you’re interested in the more unusual bit of DW’s history, or just want to hear two classic horror stars working together.

My first thougt was the Master as well, and I was thinking not again! Not only has he been in the last 2 comics, he is also supposed 2 be in the 2 part Xmas special as well. But this guy looks more Anthony Ainley than Robert Delgado, so it probably isn’t the Master.
