“House of Paulus” is set in the world of FVLMINATA, a parallel history of Rome where the empire uses firearms to expand its boundaries.

She’s sooooo tall!
Yes she sure is tall. I heart Midna because she has the best legs. Not the type to mess with, eh?
Why do I feel that Midna would be perfect for Glitz?
hehe, getting married is shore worser than pirates!
I love the changining of perspective in the first panels Midna seen from below to her view of the world from above and back again. Subtle yet effective way to make us feel the height difference.
I actually know a woman like this. Her name is Cat and shes known as the Queen of the boffer battles.
wow awesome!
Wow, she’s just… ginormous. Gotta be over six feet. And check out those shoulders. Definitely someone I’d want on my side in a fight, but I think they can kiss “inconspicuous” goodbye now.
Well, she does. Have the best legs, i mean.
Are you sure she’s not part Amazon? (Or Philistine, for that matter?)
Also, I love how Safiya’s not even on the same page as the others.
Herk, was just coming to comment on that myself. Very neat to see the characters from each others’ perspective, and good timing on the duration and placement of it.
Tall lady…very very tall…I like her, I hope she helps them free Paulus from his enchantment or whatever it is!
Scene at the gladiatorial combat school:
MIDNA: Right, who’s next…?
EVERYONE: Me…! Me…! Me…!
Speaking of legs, it looks like you forgot to draw Midna’s back leg’s back in the last panel. Still, loving both strips at the moment. Please keep it up!
Just a question, why are the pages for this comic usually shorter than the ones for Forever Janette?
I think its because its suppose to be more of a ‘comic strip’ were as 10 Docs/Forever Janette are more ‘comic book’.
…Damn…Midna is…hot…she can beat me up any time XD
hello rich me again sorry..
did you get to read it?
if you’re busy i will completely understand (:
Hector:
No her right leg is there. You can’t see the front of her thigh, the line that curves down is the back of her leg. Granted, it’s a bit thick because you can’t see the little defining line that would *just* be appearing over the top of the panel behind her left knee. But trust me, that’s her leg. Look at the construction lines at the top of her legs under the skirt.
Romanadvorat…. Fred:
That’s because “House of Paulus” follows the format of gag-a-day comic strips modeled on my YAFGC format. Generally 4 panels per gag, sometimes more sometimes less. “Forever Janette” uses the format of “The 10 Doctors” which is ongoing dramatic story with (hopefully) well timed page endings. 8 panels (occasionally more) a page.
Jim Purcell:
Exactly!
searingdestiny:
Sorry, I couldn’t open it! It told me it couldn’t find it.
Hmm. Her leg still isn’t quite clicking into my brain for some reason, though I get your point. I trust you though.
How tall is this woman? My God.
She fits right into “Hot Amazon” right?
“You have the best legs!”
Safiya is the roman equivalent of YAFGC’s Charlotte.
They must’d be played by the same person!
O_o holy mother shes tall (this coming from a 6ft 2 15 year old)
also i never knew that pirates existed back then
@Rassilon & Maki P: I played Safiya, but Charlotte is entirely fictional. At the time he created her, though, Rich *did* say he sort of modeled her on Safiya. Therein the resemblance.
