The New Doctor Who comic!
The Vampire Janette seduces a mortal and feeds while a mysterious figure hires a prostitute and feeds off of her.
“House of Paulus” and “Forever Janette” will alternate strips for a little while.

Wooho! More Doctor Who!
Anv Vampires too; part of the background I think isn’t adressed as much as it could be.
Guessing Janette is a Great Vampire, not Haemovore, or is there another race I missed?
All will be made clear…
oooh atmosphere. Cool!!
First Doctor Who, and now Forever Knight(specifically Jannette).. George Lucas and Joss Whedon are dead to me.. Rich Morris is my master, now.
Well well, Very interesting start there Rich! Can’t wait to see which Doctor you’re going to use. Kinda hoping for the 4th doctor and either Romana 2 or Leela since this has a nice horror feel to it. I could also picture the 3rd Doc as well. Anyway it’ll be VERY interesting to see where you go with this. ^_^
Umm… In panels 2 & 4 it looks a little like Tom Baker picking up ‘Working Girls’.
(Which puts me in mind of the UK TV series Life & Loves of a She-Devil, where he, playing Father Ferguson, did unspeakable things to Julie T Wallace in front of the fire in 1986!)
Whoa, I thought it was Cap’n Jack for a second there, but… never mind.
Goodness, though, I can’t wait for more!
Awesomes. That is all.
Until the next page.
Sean: I thought it was too at first.
Yay, more Doctor Who!
Ohhh, are we heading to a dark story????
I’m thinking that Janette is not all as she seems – Alien vampire in a human body?
Which Doc Rich??
Well, if title is any indication, this is going to be an Eighth Doctor story.
Janette? It never occurred to me that you would focus on her instead of Nick. I mean, forget surprise endings. This is a surprise beginning!
I confess I don’t know enough about Who vamps to figure where “The Shadow” may fit in (or if that one is something completely new). Guess I’ve got some “research” to do.
8th Doctor Tardis? More McGann?
And once again, thanks for sharing all your comics with us. How you can juggle them all and still have time to earn a living is a mystery to me. Bravo.
No way!
I thought you were finished with th whole Dr Who thing.
So happy!
@Martin: Not being so knowledgeable about Forever Knight myself, I found this entry in the Forever Knight Wiki useful; http://foreverknight.wikia.com/wiki/Janette
Lots more background info on the show, too.
Huzzah!
ohh! yay!! go Rich!
Oooo
It’s only the first strip and already I’m hooked!
Although I do hope the ‘Forever Janette/knight’ thing will be explained somehow – for those of us who have never known about the show…?
But I do love the drawing style here and the dark effect you created! It looks amazing
Oooh! That’s a somewhat high-pitched ‘ooh’, by the way. I don’t know Forever Knight, and the Wiki article is useless. Stupid recursive links… But I digress. Considerably. Yay for a new Doctor Who strip! Not that I don’t like Paulus, but *this* is why I came here.
Nice. What a surprise. Even though i’m into Paulus, the Doctor is The Man and i’m happy to see you returning to the Gallifreyean path so quickly, Rich.
Cheers,
Os.
I notice that Janette’s blood doll is bleeding but otherwise looks okay — the expression is ambiguous, could be pain or pleasure. The hooker on the other hand is withering away, clearly suffering. Does this mean that Janette isn’t killing her fellow? And how does “turning” work in the Forever Knight mythos? Does any mortal who gets killed turn, or does something special (e.g. the vampire feeding the mortal vampiric blood) have to happen?
Makkabee: In FK mythos, a mortal must be “brought across” by drinking vampire blood after theirs has been mostly drained. It’s a delicate balance of leaving enough in so that they don’t croak during the process, and giving enough back so that the change can be completed properly. Various canon vampires in the show have been shown to be very good or very poor at it.
Metacrisis: Try the fan-built Forever Knight wiki. It’s not by any means complete, but it’s got some good info.
Yes! You’re back!
Vampires and Doctor Who!
WOOHOO!
*sits back and impatiently awaits the next post*
Cheers Rich, this has cheered my up after the news that DWF is to close in July.
I was expecting something a bit like The Time Warrior due to the last panel of the 10 Doctors, but these lovely panels look more like The Talons of Weng-Chiang/State of Decay crossed with the TV Movie. Looking forward to more of this goodness, Rich!
Definitely the 8th Doctor font on the title page there! Which would be good: he deserves the attention!
I know absolutely nothing of Forever Knight, but it looks promising. The Wiki helps a bit to understand. Thanks for the tip.
Foreverknight was not a patch on Angel, However I was curious to see similaritues with Ten regardign the bloke she bites, and isn’t that Four’s back we see? lol
Janette! My boyfriend has been bringing Forever Knight along whenever he visits me, and I am missing Janette terribly in Season 3. (Though LaCroix’s ability to make me yell “Bastard!” at the computer screen at least once an episode almost makes up for it….)
Anyway, glee!
Oh god, I loved Forever Knight. Strangely enough, I was just talking about Forever Knight last night. *cue Twilight Zone music* This looks like an interesting take on the franchise. I often thought Janette was under-used in the show.
happy dance time a new doctor who strip
Hmmm….I wonder if the dark figure is LaCroix?
You’re going to think this is weird but, for a brief moment I was actually disappointed that there was no “House of Paulus” today. But then I saw this was a new “Doctor Who” story so I was happy again.
Still love “House of Paulus”, though and can’t wait to see what those witches are going to get up to with Paulus’s hair.
Janette’s boy looks like Cap’n Jack. And the “mysterious stranger” looks just like Four (which means, of course, he can’t possibly be).
I was thrown off a bit by the 1089 date, as the clothes on the left look Victorian. But cool! Another interesting twist
hmmmm….. This will be interesting; especially if the reason for the focus on Janette is that this story takes place AFTER the series ended. Can we also dare to hope that eventually Lacroix will make an apperance as well??
And y’know come to think of it…..we never REALLY saw Nick killed at the end, so…..maybe………
(Apologies if I’ve given up any spoilers to anyone)
billhedrick: Both sides of the page take place in ‘present day’ (early 1990s, for this one)
GammaBob: The strip is set between seasons 2 and 3 of FK. I should remind Rich to note that when he gets the next page up.
Umm…okay. Not quite what I was expecting, but should be very good…as is all your stuff, Rich.
Woo-hoo! Just a general ‘new strip’ Woo-hoo!
Ooh, new stuff! I haven’t watched Forever Knight, but that’s okay. I’ll be along for the ride. *buckles up*
Ah -see, I also thought one side was set in the distant past and one in the now (ish)- with the candles and dress and the guys clothes peeled back too much to give away much. Now I know – it’s just her hideaway place in 1990s.
I agree with Mr Borusa, it sees Talyns of Wang Chiang in style – I am personally hoping it is not that villain, tho it will be interesting to see the Doctor confront vampires- Timelords have no love for vampires, tend to leave a trail of dust when they meet.
Either a Plasmavore, or a more ‘traditional’ type of Vampire than Doctor Who has done before…unless another ‘great’ Vampire was missed. (I know not this Forever Knight. I’ll have to look it up)
Very cool! I’m looking forward to seeing which Doctor is in this…for some reason, I’m feeling either 4 or 5.
Oooooooooooooooooooh, vampires and a Time Lord?! Cool! Thing is…which Doctor?!
I knew it. Time Lords are all Vampires. That’s how they live so long. Why if you take the name Rasilon, reverse the letters, move every other one down the alphabet 3, and every 5th one up 2.5, you get a random bunch of meaningless letters. So instead, note Rasilon has the same number of letters in it as Dracula. Note the similarity between a coffin turned upright and painted evil blue, and the doctor’s Tardis. Notice that both vampires and Time Lords like to go by titles, Count, Doctor, Master.
It all makes sense now.
Well, maybe it doesn’t, but it makes more sense than my theory of Wookies being Were-wolves.
2 already? Nice! I’m really looking forward to this!
My money’s in for 8 (because Rich strongly expressed that 8 didn’t have a big enough chance to prove more of himself), 10 (current), solo or new made-up companion, or a made-up Doctor, and we don’t know anything about him apart from that he’s the Doctor!
I reckon it will be the 8th doctor as thats his title sequence but it could be more than one doctor
YAH! I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to have another Doctor Who comic. During finals week this was all that kept me sane!!
Thanks Rich!
Wow. So soon after The Ten Doctors – another Doctor Who strip!
Thanks Rich!!
(Yes, I followed TTD without commenting. But I’ve decided now might be a good time to join the fun. Hello, folks!)
“dan_raven
Rasilon has the same number of letters in it as Dracula. ”
I think you will find my name is spelt with two s’s.
Intrigued now by this new comic.
So much for not liking background, Rich. You did a lovely job, here!
Could the chap in the trenchcoat and hat be a Wraith, perchance?
A Dr. Who and Stargate Atlantis crossover – now there’s an idea…
A new Doctor Who strip this soon? Wow.
Not really caring which Doctor at the moment; I’m glad to catch this train before it leaves the station.
Damn, I thought it was the Fourth Doctor paying the prostitute, what with the hat and the coat.
New Doctor Who strip! This starved fan rejoices!
*Blink, blink* What Mordaris said, can we get T-shirts?
Everytime that I see something with a vampire, I remember a line from a vampire movie (don’t remember which one.. maybe “Buffy” and might have been Spike”:
You’re a Happy Meal with legs!”
Looks like our mysteriously garbed figure got a little “take-out”.
Glad to see the new one starting..
You have put a smile on my face Rich, and I needed a smile. I just heard that one of my all time favorite authors, David Eddinds, died. I own all his books and tend to re-read them every few years.
Yay, though I was a bit dissapointed in no Paulus. By alternating, do you mean that the strips will alternate every day (Janette, Paulus, Janette, Paulus, etc.) or that they will come in clumps and switch at cliffhangery situations. Regardless, good start, and though it looks like this will be 8’s story, I’ve still got my fingers crossed for 2 (IMO, the third best doctor with Zoe and Jamie as the best TARDIS team and 2.5 for another Doctor).
first: woohoo! I thought it would take some more time before you started drwho again Rich. I’m very pleased to see I was wrong. ooooh and I wonder which doctor this is. It looks like four. Or maybe that man isn’t the doctor at all…
Second: I don’t get it. Is this going to be a cross-over? I’d never heard of forever knight before. Should I start watching the series to understand what happens in the comic?
Is everybody forgetting Rich’s alternate Eight, hmm?
For a second there, I thought it was Thursday.
Yay!! New Doctor Who comic!! That’s made my day so much better, thank you Rich!!
Hmmmm…
I dunno…I’m really not into vampires, but I’ll stick around for this one. I’ll be open-minded enough to give it a shot.
a.
*gets very very excited* Yes! Doctor Who returns with some more vampires!
Rich, you are my new hero.
That guy in the coat can’t be the Doctor, 4 or otherwise. He’s drinking someone’s blood later on.
“For a second there, I thought it was Thursday.”
Me too, Lundar.
Nice Shading! oooooooooooh!
I so hope for some good LaCroix action
I need 2 no if tis will b gen. (I have friendz who are under 13).
kthnxby
P.S. ‘Bad spellurs of teh wurld untie’
If i judge by the Title layout/style that this will be a 8th Doctor Adventure?
Oh my god… I love Janette! Rich, you are the man! I can’t wait to see where this is going!
Nicely Done!! I can clearly hear Nigel Bennett’s voice…
R@nd0nn_F@n:
I need 2 no if ti will b gen. (I have friendz who are under 13). kthnxby
I’m not entirely sure I understand, but let me attempt to translate:
“I need to know if it (I assume the comic?) will be general-audience, as I have some friends who are under the age of thirteen. Thank you for your time!”
This will be a little darker than the previous Who comic, but I doubt it will go beyond a PG rating. Forever Knight was a primetime show *before* the watershed vanished, and was far less graphic than the X-Files or any CSI show.
P.S. ‘Bad spellurs of teh wurld untie’
Poor communication skills are nothing to be proud of. I suggest trying to write so that others can understand you, even on fun forums like this one. Being unable to parse your questions makes it impossible to answer them.
YAY! More doctor who-ness!! Loving this so far, Rich!~
Yay! Love Doctor Who vampire stories! Good choice! Looking forward to more
WOOHOO, now is a good time to show off my new 5th Doctor gravatar
You know, that guy picking up the prostitute has similar dimensions in clothing with the 4th Doctor, I think it is the big hat and coat.
Ooooo~!
I am most intrigued!
A vampire, apparently a TRUE vampire (not an alien), in the Doctor Who-verse.
FANTASTIC!
What’s funny, I thought this was a Doctor Who comic because the guy on the left looks like (or looked until further inspection) the 10th doctor and the guy on the right looks like the 4th. Then I got confused when I saw one got bit and one was biting! Then I thought you where doing another storyline.
Then I saw “Doctor Who” logo. XD
Anyway, this seems like it will be interesting! The opening is a bit confusing, but I’m sure we will get it.
Yay! Doctor Who Fan Comic! Which Doctor I wonder…
I love the parallelism, I wonder what this is about
Wait! This is a crossover? And of a show I don’t know….. man, I hate Costa Rican TV (no, no really Get Smart is still on Friday nights)
And I’m left wonder what the Witches are up to….
It is my hope that although this is a crossover with Forever Knight, those who are unfamiliar with the show will still be able to follow what’s going on. I don’t plan for this to be as… erm… self indulgent as “The 10 Doctors” was. However, I can only guess what may or may not be confusing.
Add to the fact that my designs are vague enough that people keep seeing characters they want to see… no these two figures above are *not* the 10th and 4th Doctors. (C’mon people, I draw the 4th Doctor with a scarf!)
This shouldn’t be *overly* mature in content, aside from the sexual nature of vampirism. It won’t ever become any more graphic than “The 10 Doctors” was. No nudity is planned.
Yes, my plan is for this to alternate day by day with “House of Paulus” unless I (and Hilary) become annoyed with it or change our minds. So tomorrow should be another HoP and Saturday will be page 2 of “Forever Janette”.
Yay, Forever Knight! I remember that show (and the Rick Springfield movie that was the pilot for it). I wonder if Rich will have Nick and Nine/Ten hang out moaning and angsting about the bad things they’ve done, while Jeanette and the Rani meet up and roll their eyes at said angsting?
(Hmmm. Actually, this would be *very* fitting as an Eight story, as you can have the Dueling Coroners too.
)
(Sorry for the double post) Oooh…LaCroix and Ainley/Delgado Master would be another fine teamup as well… (The Master would *definitely* like LaCroix’s style in turning the screws…)
Hilary-
I am sorry, I was in a hurry. I had a family emergency and was in the middle of a panic attack. I was reading this comic and I wanted to know if it would get too graphic for children/preteens. The P.S. was a joke based on a meme I had seen on a website. I am sorry for any inconvenience, but it was not intentional bad grammar. Thank you for telling me what I needed to know and I am (again) sorry for the inconvenience.
Yay, another Doctor Who story!. I’m not familiar with Forever Knight, but it should be fun!
wait wait wait!!! is it the tenth doctor. and is that janette vampire in the new doctor who comic! Rich is it ten? It looks like four which doctor is it? ( screams!) I’m so happy yay! woooooooooooooo! Rich I really just want to know is the doctor ten in this one or is it not?
Wow, this should be interesting! I can’t wait to see how you integrate the idea of vampires in Forever Knight vs. vampires in Doctor Who (State of Decay).
You have a talent for the macabre, as evidenced by turning Time Lords into Daleks. Some of that sent shivers down my spine, so I expect no less here.
Looking forward to the ride, Rich!
OK, never saw Forever Knight, so I’m going to be playing catch-up here. Any recommendations on a really good FK reference site?
Paging Doctor Van Helsing…?
So awsome I am loving this I can’t wait to see which doctor it will be or if this will be a new doctor? Ooohhhh I hope its three or seven!
Yay Janette and The Doctor? I can’t wait!
KatyaR:
http://www.loftworks.com/fktoc.html
As the founder of the FK mailing list, I have to say I approve.
And yes, there shall be plugs!
I also notice that you either went out of your way to use the DW Movie title or that was the only one available that isn’t distracting.
Ancient Roman comedy, vampires, and time travel… it doesn’t get any better than this.
Rich, have you considered pitching any of your stories or art to any of the major comic distributors?
*waves to Jaye from here and from the mailing list*
Rich, you are a GOD…. You hear that high pitched squeeeeeeeee-ing? Yeah. That’s me.
YES! I was so looking forward to this! Yea! Yea! Yea! I’m so intrigued now. (MY Buffy Fangirl is so happy right now. Hee hee hee.)
Yay! How I miss Forever Knight! And of course, this give an opportunity for the Doctor to visit Canada…something I don’t think he ever did in Canon (though I know someone will helpfully correct me if I’m wrong!
) Go for it, Rich!
Actually, that’s more than the movie title.. that’s the whole time vortice shot from the TV Movie. It looks like you’re using 8 (McGann’s Doctor), and that’s a great choice. Fits the timeline (FK and the TV movie being out nearly the same time) and also 8 is Byron-esque and is a perfect foil for vampires (or Frankenstein).
Apparently, I can be slow in the uptake (took me all day to recognize it), but my brain finally chugged over enough to get it.
(ps: and no, the Doctor hasn’t appeared in a Canada setting.. I think the closest has been appearing in New York and Adipose in New York in “Turn Left”.. despite 2005 on has had a co-production tag with CBC from Canada. (Hey, how about that? It’s “Canadian content”.. we should ask for a Canuck to be at least a one-off Companion with Matt Smith. They could tell Matt’s Doctor about how they won’t carry a gun, unless someone tries to take their “Timmy’s” away. >=) There’s Canadian content for you..
Woot! Combining two of my favorite things, the Doctor and Vampipres. I’m nough of a vampire nut that I’m aware of Forever Knight but I’ve nver seen it. This is probably due to the fact that I was in grade school when it was on, though I vaugly remember watching something that mae have been the movie it was based on.
Awesome the new comic has started!!
YAY! More doctor who! AND it involves vampires! I love it Rich.
…and here I still haven’t seen ONE episode of “Forever Knight”! Well it’s not _my_ fault the dang torrent is still at only 45%….I mean…that….my legally bought and ordered DVDs haven’t come in the mail yet. Yes… (Oh, like I can afford to just plunk down the money for an entire show I’ve never seen and am not even sure I’m going to like. In these recessionary times. Come on.)
At any rate, I’m going to have to avoid reading the comments for at least a while…for the sake of _Forever Knight_ spoilers this time, not Who! Although possibly that as well…
This is like…I’m not sure how accurate of an analogy this is (and I’m sure answering me would involve a spoiler) but it feels kinda like…if you hadn’t read any of the St. Germaine books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro and then were thrown into a fanfic spin-off starring not him, but _Olivia_. Feels kinda like that.
I join everybody in the universe in guessing “Eight”, mainly because when I think of Doctor’s looks, his is like the ONLY one that would really work with “vampire”. Although Three would completely _look_ right, especially in his Series 7 getup. (It was not only old-timey evening wear, but all in black and white, with a red-silk-lined cape! Paging Count Dracula…)
EXCEPT, Rich has said he thinks Three is “boring” (blows Rich a raspberry) and was never that thrilled with him. So not him.
However, while I’m here, I’d like to point out: That was THREE’S font before it was Eight’s. Just sayin’.
…Notorious
Good start n
i cant wait to finished wat doctor it is
You’ve stirred up quite a bit of speculation to whom you’re going to use for the Doctor Rich. XD
I personally never thought anyone on those pages was the Doctor though. I am still hoping for the 4th Doctor…because I am biased XD
Jaye: I was wondering if FORKNI-L was still kicking around! (I was Katya, a whole ‘nother lifetime ago… hung out with JMR and the SKL gang)
Captain Chaotica: Your reference to the Third Doctor working with vampires is quite accurate, as can be seen in the 1970 Horror film anthology ‘The House That Dripped Blood.’ In the segment entitled ‘The Cloak’ a temperamental horror film actor, played by Jon Pertwee, moves into a house while starring in a vampire film being shot nearby. He buys a black cloak from a peculiar shopkeeper to use for his film character’s costume. The cloak seems to instill in its wearer strange powers, something his co-star (Ingrid Pitt) quickly discovers.
Very dated, but fun!
Nice intro, which Doc and companion?
Let’s Do The Time Warp Again
WOOHo
Rich, I noticed something odd about the episode list you posted as part of the timeline for this setting- it doesn’t seem to match the episode order on Hulu (by the way, everyone- FK is on http://www.Hulu.Com, all the way up to the end of the second season, which is where this comic starts, if you want to bone up on FK).
Hulu includes the original air date of each episode, which places Blood Money in the middle of the season (just before a two-month hiatus), and places Crazy Love as the season finale.
Now, I’ve been down this road with other shows, and I know that networks and distributors seem to give less than a damn about continuity. I’m a casual fan of FK- but, is there one of those weird switcheroos going on, here? They did it with Firefly, and Dresden Files, etc.
Just as an addition to Raster post, Hulu is not available outside of the US due to copyright issues
Raster: I’m confused; what episode list did Rich post, and where? In any case, I can’t access Hulu from Canada, but Blood Money is definitely the season 2 finale. This episode guide looks correct to me. Is it possible that Hulu is using an American syndication air date instead of the original Canadian air dates, for some reason?
Hilary:
http://comics.shipsinker.com/the-forever-janette-episode-guide/
On the top right.
And you’re probably right- since CBS aired it originally here in the states, and it was produced in Canada, I’ll bet things did get majorly switched-around.
It’s a bloody shame you guys can’t get to Hulu outside the States. They’ve done a fine job of keeping old shows available.
To Matelot: HA! Oh my god, I have _got_ to see that. My friend went and looked up a Horror Hammer film about Dracula just because it was written by Don Hougton (who wrote two of our all-time favourite Who serials, “Inferno” and “The Mind of Evil”). If there’s a vampire film with Pertwee himself, she has GOT to know about it.
(Campy? Scare _me_ off? Who is a fan of the kind of cheesy black and white sci-fi movie they show on MST3K? Pish-tosh!)
…Notorious
Woah, already? O_O Vampires…this should be interesting…I like vampires
That guy in the 5th panel looks creepily like David Tennant…
Sorry for double post -_-”
ack, no, sorry, 3rd panel o_o”
Hm. I’ve never much been into vampires, but in this case, I’ll bite… =-}
Actually from what I remember (and it was a LONG time ago — I still have the originals from the 80’s was it? on VHS somewhere) FK was one of the better ones. Can’t wait to see how this develops!
Captain Chaotica: You may be pleased to learn that someone has uploaded ‘The House That Dripped Blood’ on youtube http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=425F859E93923163&search_query=the+house+that+dripped+blood
If you just want to watch the Jon Pertwee segment, watch part 9 (from 06:20) through part 12 ( to 01:00)
It is most likely that film will be removed soon, so watch it quickly!
Enjoy!
Sorry, that should have been ALL of part 12 (or you’d miss a good bit near the end of the film)
Actually, I’ve seen bits of Forever Knight. Try watching tv w/your mom, it’s like letting the Doctor connect your set to his TARDIS w/the Randomizer put in. Of course, throughout the DW Mythos, they’ve always made the connection between the Great Vampires and Time Lords.
Nonetheless, I feel we should sit back and relax and see where Rich takes us on this wild ride!
Also speaking of vamps and DW, you know Lalla Ward (Romana II) was one in ‘The Vampire Circus.’ Which may have been an inside joke, when she almost became one in ‘State of Decay.’ Okay, enough w/the triv before I completely geek out.
Not that it’s a bad thing or anything, just saying. XD
Hilary: OMG, small world. XD Yep, the list is still there, happily burbling away where it’s always been (quite amazing, actually).
Becky: Hallo to you too.
(Back to patiently awaiting for the new panel…)
Since this is horror-based, I added it to the list of horror web comics at Comic Monsters.com. It’s on page 3.

Here’s the main page in case you guys are interested.

I saw the new comic listing in the RSS, but didn’t realise it was the new Who ’til someone else mentioned it had started.
YAAAY!! FOREVER KNIGHT CROSSOVER!!
Time travel mixed with a immortal character? I like it!
Rich: Would there be any chance of a cameo of another 100’s-of-year’s-old immortal who lived (part-time) in Canada during the 90’s, and whose TV series also started in 1992, also spun-off from an 80’s movie? Duncan McLeod (of the Clan McLeod) from Highlander: The Series! They could have bumped into each other a few times of the course of history!
WalksInEternity: No, no McLeods in this comic, sorry. I never saw that series and I’m trying to limit myself to basic crossovers to keep things simple.
I need simple after dealing with “The 10 Doctors” for 3 years!
Woohooo! More Who!
I bow down to the Genious!
WalksInEternity: HOW DARE YOU! Duncan MacLeod is a bastich that stole the series away. Movies 1-3, Connor MacLeod is the one who claims the prize since he’s the last one. Other stuff gets involved, but Connor wins, basically. In the fourth movie (Endgame), Connor gets killed by Duncan, negating the previous movies. To put it in Doctor Who mode, it’s like having 4 hand over his remaining regenerations to the Master, and then go and commit suicide.
Bill M.: Well, talking about negation of Highlander movies, what about them contradicting the H1 movie by suddenly remembering being aliens (rolls eyes) and ghosts able to come back from the dead with super powers in H2! Things so contrived, they ignored them immediately afterwards! The film & TV series were in parallel universes (bourne out by the fact that Duncan, if he existed at all in H1’s reality, was dead, as Connor won his mortality; All other immortals were deceased). And no aliens. The fourth movie was just a continuation of the TV series’ reality, packaged so as to appeal to completists, which was supposed to lead into a new series Highlander:The Raven. The problem was Raven bombed, was cancelled, and production delays due to casting pushed back the release of the ‘movie’ even further (IMDB).
All I was suggesting is that with all the links between FK and H:TS there would be scope for an appearance, which Rich explained was impractical.
“The Ten Doctors” is my personal canon. I can’t wait to see how this one unfolds.
I like it. Excellent combination of FK and Dr Who!!! Wanting to see more!
