Been loving the comic for a long time, Rich. First time I’ve spotted a new page on the RSS feed when it hadn’t been out for hours, so I thought I’d finally leave a comment.
So… Further adventures for Four and Ten?
*crosses fingers*

I think we should tie Peri up, gag her, and feed her to a zucchini.
Is it just me, or are Peri’s boobs getting bigger each page we come across? Not that I mind tho!!
I think the growing boobs on Peri is an illusion to be honest with you. I try to keep them the same size as her head.
I really need to re-watch Five’s years, again. I put myself through Six, finally, so it’s time for a reward.
Leave it to Rich to gauge boob size by head size as a standard.
As far as toxins go, I figure Six must have gotten something bad from his Baker.

That aside, Peri being Little Miss Spoil-A-Tron is _hilarious_. Although her reaction to Kamelion was also Not Cool, considering…well I just wasn’t at ALL happy about what happened with him in the end. Wow, dark. I mean, especially considering WHO, of all people, did it…
Boob size = head size snerk. I do think, however, that she actually isn’t THAT curvy. Sure, she (sometimes) wore outfits that called _attention_ to the chestal area far more than that of most Companions, but she doesn’t actually…stick out…_that_ much. Put her in even remotely covering clothing and you don’t go “WOW, get aload of the way that woman’s shirt is sticking way out like that”, she just looks…normal. I dunno. (shrug)
I _do_ know that I just finished watching the last of her episodes recently-ish, so if she looked the way she does in the comics I would remember. But, EVERYBODY’s design has a little artistic license in this thing, so it’s all good.
Dear…poor Six. That last line is almost as mean as that one comic I saw about “Caves of Androzani” on DeviantArt that one time…
(I can’t remember who drew it, so I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up: The serial is summed up, in cartoon form, as “THIS bad thing happens to the Doctor and THAT bad thing…” ending with him lying there dying, thinking “Well, after the day I’ve had, at least I can be sure that whatever’s coming, it can’t possibly be any _worse_!” HEEEEYYYY…

Huh. I’d forgotten how Kamelion ended up. It’s pretty lame, but still, under the real-life circumstances, understandable. At least he didn’t get quietly forgotten, leaving everybody wondering where that robot went after joining up.

Aw no! No more Six in this loverly comic! *cry* he’s off to new adventures again.
It’s going to end with only Ten… Maybe getting an ending bit showing off each of the characters as they head off back in their own timelines.
You have to admit, Peri and Kamelion didn’t exactly meet under the best circumstances.
And I’m a little disappointed that 4 and 6 ended up just insulting each other, but eh, I’ll just blame the size of the page.
In all out honesty, I’m gonna miss that coat.

RE: Peri’s breasts… It reminds me of Alex Ross’ work on “Kingdom Come”. Ross is a great artist, but he had a little fun at his readers’ expense. When he drew Power Girl (famous for her, um, endowment) in the story, he drew her breasts a little bigger each time, just to see if anyone would notice.
Not that I would accuse you of padding Peri’s bra, Rich, but how many Adipose does she have under that shirt?

As Caves of Androzani is the only Fifth Doctor serial I’ve seen (Though I have one or two more somewhere around the house) I have to love how meta Four’s line was.
Ha, it seems like the spoilers went over a couple of their heads… because their attention was ‘elsewhere’ (check the focus on Turlough’s and Teagan’s eyes)

That story about Power Girl’s expanding assets is generally attested to Wally Wood, who was one of the first artists to draw her. There doesn’t seem to be any proof either way though. This is the first time I have heard Alex Ross get connected with it. I am sure the first time I heard it predated Kingdon Come, so if he did do it there it was probably a subtle tribute to Wood.

Eric, you’re almost right. It was Wally Wood who did the breasts getting bigger in each panel thing. Then there was a time where she was mostly a Supergirl clone, THEN Alex Ross brought back the curvy figure.

Loved the coat line – tho I think Peri would be kinder toward Camileon – She seemed fond of him in the show, he/it was always doing the best he could to help her, as well as the Doc, and sacrificed himself rather than be used again.
Is it just me or does Six look a bit like a curly-haired Bob Hope in Panel 6?
Has anyone noticed but in Panel 1, Ten looks like he has aged about 40 years. Kinda looks like the Brig. But younger! hmm?
4’s last line is quite funny…he always has to have the last word, doesn’t he? (if he’s in the room, anyway!)

I know it’s already been said several times, but the coat remark is just the best ever! Especially combined with the facial expressions of both doctors in this panel. I love it, Rich!
I think it’s the construction lines that make Ten look so odd in panel 1.
In panel 3, everybody’s eyeline is suspect, but Turlough’s definitely looking down.

Regarding Peri’s assets: the way Rich draws them is how I remember them, but not necessarily the way they were, if you follow. Another poster had it right, I think: they weren’t gigantic, just well-packaged. See http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v206/Tetramesh/peri1.gif as evidence.

Snerk. Yes, that was the thingie about “Caves of Androzani”. Funny but OH MY HOLY _HELL_ that thing is mean! Sheesh! (I’m saddened far further by most of the comments about it than the thing itself…) Although I do agree with the comment about how Sharaz Jek was one of the creepiest Who villians ever. (shudders and brushes off invisible ants) The Sick and Wrong kind of darkness just doesn’t belong in Who…
And haha, the gif…reminds me of that one great quote from “More than 30 Years in the TARDIS” (well there are a _lot_ of great quotes in that one, it’s an _awesome_ documentary.)
Nicola Bryant (speaking with her _real_ accent) says something along the lines of: “People are always asking me, ‘What was it like, wearing a bikini on Doctor Who?’ and I’m like, I was SWIMMING! I would’ve felt _silly_ wearing a three-piece suit…”

As for Four’s line…well, (sigh) I suppose it IS in character for him to say that, Four being the way he is, but…I dunno…it’s a little far towards _mean_ instead of the good-natured kind of ribbing where you can TELL the writer is just kidding, for me…

Honestly it seems silly for so many people to fuss about Peri’s bust when all the other characters are drawn as caricatures with exaggerated features too. Then again I am not exactly small chested myself so I get a bit sensitive when people act like it’s bad somehow for a woman to be depicted with large breasts. I mean we do exist you know? There’s nothing shameful about it.
DarkTouch, hmc, et al: I stand corrected. You are indeed right that it was the great Wally Wood, and NOT Alex Ross.
Wally Wood was the closest comic books ever got to having their own Al Capp. He knew how to draw women and Power Girl may well have been his greatest female superhero. It’s a pity how he died. He was so very gifted as an artist.

What amuses me here is about Peri’s chest is not how the size changes, but how Rich left the sketch lines in…

Peri’s reaction to Kamelion is way out of character. She had total compassion for him and was very sad when the Doctor helped him commit suicide.
Ah Peri and Six. I don’t care what people say about them, they were awesome together.
I admit that when I first read this, I thought Peri was backing away because Kamelion almost accidentally stuck his hand in her chest.
Seriously, I could see a panel where 8 leans over to 10 and whispers, “That would’ve been nasty.” Like he did in Shada.

As a newcomer to Dr. Who I’m so glad this comic was one of the first fan-works I came across. I read it all in one go tonight and I loved it; the art, the story, the humor, everything. Thank you!
Rich, when you know, I hope you’ll let us know in advance how many pages are left. It would be nice to know, instead of reading each page and not knowing if there’s one more or twenty.

I forgot earlier, but I have to admit that I also got a lot of the “Phantom of the Opera” vibe from Jek too. Even if I think Jek came before what most of us think when we hear “Phantom of the Opera”

And was awfully mean to that poor robot guy (who apparently has seen Star Wars, because C3-PO REFERENCE! I read his little bubble and I heard it the way C3-PO says it. XD)! I don’t understand. I like him. Can somebody ’splain?
I laughed at the last line. While 5 seems to be well-liked by everyone, 6 is kind of the anti-5, and as far as I can tell he doesn’t get along well with ANYBODY besides his companions. Except maybe 4. I can’t tell if their little fights are actual quarrels or just friendly verbal sparring.

CoZ, Kamelion was a shapeshifting robot who showed up twice in the Peter Davison era. In Peri’s debut story (if memory serves, which is not always guaranteed) Kamelion fell under the Master’s influence and made things difficult for the Doctor and company.
