The various Doctors begin to head back to their TARDISes with their entourages of companions.
The 3rd and 5th Doctors plotting a trip to visit with the federation before heading to the Eye of Orion to meet with the others.
The 9th Doctor takes a final sad look at his beloved homeworld.
The Rani decides to take a ride with Drax and Glitz to get off the planet and the 1st Doctor takes Susan to ride with the 8th Doctor and Grace to keep an eye on things.
Leaving the 10th Doctor to travel alone.
Quite sad for 9 and 10 both alone again.

There are so many wonderful things about this page – Two and Seven talking about the card game with the Celestial Toymaker, Six guiding Peri back to the Tardis, Ace and Rose waving goodbye to each other (those two would definitely cause trouble if they were ever to travel together! Fast friends right there!)
And awwwww at 10 traveling alone. He’ll be okay. He gets Martha and Donna after this. The Doctor can’t ever be alone. It’s just not done!
Also, I’m sensing that something may happen on the way to the Eye of Orion. Hmmm, I might just be paranoid.

I don’t know… Seems to me Ten is doomed never to have a happy ending. RTD is good at plot twists, but he can be a rat bastard to his characters… Rich, you’ve managed to touch on Ten’s characteristic quiet melancholy in the last panel perfectly.

I don’t think 9 is traveling alone, he is just the last to enter the Tardis with 4 & 6. He just pauses to say goodbye to Gallifrey before entering.
I hope to see some nice interaction between Doctors 1 & 8. If 8’s memory wasn’t restored during their mind link to help 10, then I hope 1 will help clear some of the cobwebs from his mind. Rich never did explain why 8 didn’t recognize his earlier selves. (I know in the movie and the books he suffers repeatedly with amnesia – a plot point which should never have been abused.)
Is 10 going to stay on Gallifrey? Will he encounter Dalek-Ahn? Assist Leela with her rejuvenated family? Or just take one last look around at his old home?
10 doesnt want to leave- 9 has Rose to keep an eye on him when he takes a last look around, but 10 doesnt even have that.
Makes me wonder what 10 might be tempted to try, left all on his own like that – tho he knows he can do nothing.
All back the way they came (sort of). The Rani stay on Gallifrey? HA. Nice one, ten. Speaking of ten, poor him, all alone like at the beginning. Hopefully he’ll leave without running into more trouble! (Or hopefully not, since that would prolong this strip!) I still cannot get over the awesome of calling the Celestial Toymaker “Celly.”

So much happening in these eight panels!
Just as everyone else seems to be saying, it’s very sad then Ten always seems to end up alone no matter what the circumstances. Nine’s goodbye to Gallifrey is sad enough but he at least has Rose to comfort him at this point. Ten’s alone and right back to the beginning of ‘The Ten Doctors’.
…That being said, I don’t think this saga is over quite yet.
I get the feeling that it won’t exactly be smooth sailing to The Eye… and that last panel might be chalk full of forshadowing for some helping/meddling that Ten is about to embark on. Stormwolf above me is right; the Doctor needs someone there to stop him… Ten especially, perhaps.
Yet what is there for Ten to do at this point? Hmm..
(PS. panel six is by far your BEST drawn Ten face that I have seen in this comic, Rich. You’ve nail Tennant’s “aww crap” eye roll… Wonderful job!)

Was Rose actually being friendly towards Ace? Wow. Everything seems to be drawing together nicely now. Poor Nine, makes you think that if he could change things, he would. And poor Ten, as the song goes “ALL BY MYSELF….DON’T WANNA’ BE, ALL BY MYSELF…ANYMORE!” I will say the 7th panel, just caught me as so Ten. Maybe it’s the hair.

Very sweet…I’d go into more detail, but I’m sure it’s already been said.
I thought there were more villains involved that hadn’t been defeated yet? Is that really the last of them? Did I miss something? Could someone tell me each group of villains involved, and how & when they were beaten?
This page has just about left me speechless, still. If Nine were to remember all this he might be glad Ace and Rose spent no more time together — especially if Rose siddenly stars saying ‘Boom! at interesting tiimes, she wouldn’t understand most likely, but Nine could understand and cringe. Just the fact One is insistant on ‘No Dilly dallying.” Tells me Rich has one more twist coming up, so I’m looking forward to a little more story anyway.
I do have a feeling that something will happen here, to tie up some threads, but too much might be anticlimactic.

I think I figured out who messed with the doctors time lines, Ten. Being in the state he’s in now he’s destracted and dos something stupid (Like eat a Pear) a’la time crash.
Loving how Ten has to bend over to be nearish eye level to One, with sort of that blank-faced look… probably in reaction to being called a ‘young man’ by someone 600+ years his junior. Oh, One, you act so lordy but you’re really just the cute little baby in this lineup!
I’d still like to see a little Ten/Rose interaction… I mean if we’re going to be doing things like having the rest of the Doctors blithely abandon him on Gallifrey we might as well have Rose rudely reminding him of losing her. It’s pick-on-Ten day!

If Rich were truly evil–the next page would be a distant shot of poor lonesome 10, all alone on Gallifrey. Next panel, a closer shot. Third Panel a close up of poor 10’s face, as he looks up and utters right into the frame, “Exterminate!”

There does seem to be one more twist left, and Ten seems to be positioned for it. A final confrontation…but with who?
And as we’ve seen so far, the plot twists have never been what we’ve expected.

It could be Davros, or Dalek Ahn, or just Ten doing something… but I have to mention it again, since everyone’s snuggling up to and feeling sorry for the guy:
A. he may still be partially influenced by Dalek programming;
B. he just tried to convince the Rani to stay on Gallifrey, a planet which he knows will soon cease to exist;
C. in the previous page he as good as told Maxil to watch his back…
Not that he isn’t still the Doctor and “yay Doctor” and all that – and being turned into and back from a Dalek has got to be a complete mindcrank. Still, at this point Ten = not a nice guy.
As far as the Rani being on Gallifrey or not when the ‘end’ comes, I don’t think actually being there would be necessary. After all, I find it hard to believe that in the middle of a war, _every_ member of a space-travelling, time-travelling species is sitting on their planet when it gets blown up. However I remember the Dr early on in the new series tapping the side of his head while he tells Rose he’d know if there were any other Time Lords, indicating that he’d know telepathically. My theory is that the telepathic shock of having the rest of their species wiped out killed any Time Lords who weren’t home at the time, with the Master escaping by being human at the time (and thus out of contact) and the Dr by … well, I’m not sure, maybe by virtue of whatever he was doing at the time, but the shock forced him to regenerate into 9.
Just my theory.
i think nine and ten are going to have a gut-wrenching time leaving and that ten’s off to do a bit of sight-seeing before he heads back…
I perfectly understand 1 calling every Doctor that’s followed him as “young one.” He’s had the longest of any of the Doctors in their current form. 2 might be running close, but 1 calls him a dandy all the time. 4 had the longest BBC run, but in the overall value of The Doctor’s timelines, that means diddly squat. 10 in this story might be nearing the millenial mark on his age through all his incarnations, but he’s only been 10 for probably close to 3 years, maybe 4.

Bill it’s 3 he calls a dandy.2 is the clown.As far as everybody being dead after the time war I still think the high council faked their deaths, wiped the doctors memory and put a false memory(they took the memory of time travel codes from the 3erd Doctor during his exile)So they can hide from the Daleks and the rest of a dangerous universe,and are still controling the TARDIS to use the Doctor as a pawn of the CIA.
I can make no sense of the background in panel 4. Er, no I just did. -.- There’s a before-and-after scene in the 4th panel area, isn’t there? Took me at least a minute to figure that out. That why that line between the two TARDISes is so dark!

Glitz, Drax and the Rani . . . that has to be an interesting ride on the Tardis with those guys. . .

He’s looking back in retrospect about nearing the end of his seventh life & learning that you can never be too careful ie walking out of the TARDIS without looking to see what might be waiting for him, something the first was paranoid about if I recall correctly.
On that point given that The Master is slithering about his TARDIS, wouldn’t it have made more sense to find a bucket to slop him into, than go strolling out to look for components to repair the ship or to go for a chinese takeout (instead of which, the chinese took him out).
Maybe 1’s concern isn’t with 8, but with 10…and he wants to leave 10 alone to see what 10 will do.
If this story were true I would never leave ten ever. He’s so alone, all the other doctor’s have someone but when they turn into ten they’ll feel sadness like mad. Always alone. No one to love and hug and laugh with because in the end the doctor is always alone. Mostly ten, if you watch at the end of every series ten ends up losing his companions, series 2 Rose gose to another world, Martha leaves because she loves him and dosen’t want to follow him for years and Dona…. she forgot. So alone. Why him.
Martha left him in series 3 and Dona left the doctor in series 4. I forgot to say.

The god-like being who is the anthropomorphic personification of the forces of entropy and chaos while seems limited when it comes to directly killing the Doctor as if there are rules that he cannot break or something, but can obviously bend them it seems.

With the discussion about off-world time lords not being dead, I think that if there was a war, a lot of them would have been pressed into service (or volunteered: no one likes daleks). It’s called conscription. After all, they tried it with the master, knowing what a nutcase he was. However, there is that suspicious scene near the end of “Last of the Time Lords”…
Hybrid: I saw a piece at Outpost Gallifrey which reported that the Master will return for Tennant’s last two specials, with Rose, Martha, and Donna comng along for the ride.
This was based on an article which appeared in The Sun, and at this point, it may be premature, but the possibilities croggle the mind.
I can’t really see Susan fighting without twisting her ankle and/or screaming.

And Ten could cause some trouble on his home planet. There’s also the matter of the Meddling Monk, and the War Chief did a runner! Really, Maxil and Ten know more about what’s going on. The others should listen to them. I really don’t like that Ten was left alone–SJS should have stayed with him, and also her K-9!

Something tells me something bads gonna happen and everyone’s separated again, especially what Shannen pointed out.
Also, the thing about the Master in Tennant’s two last specials with all 3 main companions coming back,NO!!! I liked Rose, but her coming back all the time is ANNOYING! But the story sounds cool… if only we see Adam again too, maybe in 3 years time in Series 7 (if they decide to make one), ‘coz 2012 was Adam’s timeline… and where Doctor 9 left him…
Panel 4 – right bang on the money.
Come on. After the Doctor confronted Maxil about killing his friend, do you really think he’s going to trust him with helping Leela? The TimeLords see her as an outsider, not one of their own. Her children unwelcome hybrids of Human and Gallifreyan. I don’t think the TimeLords would do much as a group, one or two individuals perhaps maybe, but it is just as likely they would ban her from the citadel where she might get help from the outsiders. Overall I think 10 has got something in mind other than Leela or Maxil though.
I can think of ONE loose end still dangling somewhere in time…! Where and when will it turn up?

What would perhaps make an interesting ending for 10 if he’s alone again after his others are gone where he says something like…
“I am a individual who has had the opportunity and experience to be other individuals in this long life of mine and through my travels with the Tardis, now that I’m in my 10th carnation, I can finally understand that no matter how different each person is, no matter what race or culture, no one is truly alone in this grand universe even if they are the last of their kind for we all have that one similarity deep inside which says that we can never be alone.”

Magic_and_Stars, that’s probably K9 Mk II (Four & Romana’s K9) leaving with Four and the others. I think I see the top of Mk IV’s head (Sarah Jane’s) along with Five, Three and the gaggle of companions who are riding with them. (I see the Brig’s hat, so I assume they’re dropping off the people who came from Earth.) Old, beat-up K9 Mk I is probably staying with Leela. (I’m trying to picture K9 as a babysitter.)
I think 10 should take Leela off in his TARDIS & spend some time helping her raise the kids! He certainly wouldn’t be alone for several years, and he can still show up on EoO pretty much on time!
Imagine 10 changing diapers. Or romping with a crowd of toddlers.

James…Yes, “Time Crash” has already happened for Five. Ten mentioned Nyssa, Tegan, and the Mara, to Five. And as Ten has memories of the event’s of “Time Crash” from Five’s perspective (that’s how he knew what to do to avert a disaster, the size of Belgium). Meaning “Time Crash happened after “Snakedance”, and before “Mawdryn Undead” (as Turlough wasn’t mentioned).
Maybe Ten just needs to be alone for a bit…

I don’t see that as Rose telling Nine good-by they are getting into the same TARDIS. She knows Gallifrey is destroyed by the time she meets Nine, so she’s asking if he’s okay as he leaves Gallifrey whole, for probably the last time.
I suspect Rich has a plan for 2.5, we’ll seen it soon no doubt.
Oooh. I just had an inspirational thought. Read what I say next carefully. What if the planet in the Eye of Orion, that the Doctor loves to visit so much, is in fact Gallifrey. At the end of the “Last Great Time War” what if Gallifrey, mistakenly believed destroyed, was in fact flung back in time and across space where it re-evolved into the planet at the Eye of Orion. And the few ruins that we see there are all that is left of the buildings that once stood at the base of the capital. And the reason the Doctor feels so at peace there is because unknowingly he is at home.

P.S I may not have been the first to notice this but when the Dr’s done the mind share thin, Dr 2.5 was with them. On the next page he was outside reassuring the companions. Did he get kicked out or something?
@FAUL T WIRING – on 200 he’s there physically with the rest, but 201 he’s not there on the “internal” view. and he’s definitely outside with the companions on 203. I can only assume, as a projection, he couldn’t cut it when the mind merge actually happened and went out to reassure companions.
Maureen: I think it’s a nice version of take your thumb out of your a**, an expression meaning the same as let’s not dilly-dally.

Well, it’s true what they say about sci fi. It doesn’t have to make sense, the fans will work it into the story somehow.;)
If Paul Mcgann ever did come back on air he would not be wearing his wig which we would accept because doctor’s can change there hair do just look at Jon pertwee? He originally had more flat silver hair and later it was all curlly and white with a hint of blonde in it.

I am kind of confused on panel 4. It looks like 9 is going into his TARDIS. It also looks like there is a TARDIS next to 9’s on 9’s left (our right). We can see the front of this TARDIS at an angle. However, we can’t see the side of the TARDIS that would be closest to 9 even though that side should be visible. Am I nitpicking? Or am I missing something? It looks like that TARDIS is missing a side!
@The Professor – I believe panel 4 is split in 2; first Nine looks around one last time, then he has shut the door of his TARDIS.
Trevory: Not a clue. He has five more pages drawn; it’s a question of when we find the scanner and cables. If you’d rather not check the page periodically you can subscribe to the rss feed at the top of the page, and it will alert you when a new page or news item goes up.
The Professor: that’s two panels, not one – the dividing line got a bit lost visually. The first one shows 9 at the door of the TARDIS, the second is at the same angle and shows the same TARDIS with a closed door.
I guess I did miss something there. Thank you mrfranklin (my last name is Franklin also, btw!) and Hilary. I guess I have to look a little closer. That’s a duh! moment for me. Thanks again.

I am sure there is something more disrupting then moving but i am not sure what it is. Last move was 14 years ago just came across box with something i gave up looking for 12 years ago. Good luck in your new home and when the new ones arrive they arrive.
