Captain Jack pops out of hiding with a massive laser rifle (given to him by Maxil when the citadel guards show up equipped to defend their planet) and blows the ever-lovin’ crap out of a Dalek.
The Brig leaps out as well, with his posse, blasting away with the pistols Romana found.
The TARDIS trunk opens up with Drax and Glitz firing a laser bazooka which all but disintegrates the nearest Dalek.
Finally, Maxil leads his squad of guards into the room and the battle is on!

Yeah, I was very tempted to write that in exactly. But a)there’s more than one chap with an eye-stalk, and b)their pistols don’t do rapid rounds. But I waffled for a while and tried to think up something as good that fit in the Brig’s voice. This was the best I could come up with at the time.

I also love the Brigs little attack posse, It reminds be of custers last stand slightly (with Jamie as cust because of that lump of metal looks a bit like a sword)

Heheh yeah. But unlike the Doctors, most of them either can’t conceive of a way to save them or just don’t care that much. Romana is probably angsting the most about it, but what else is she going to do at this point? Try to save the ones still not converted and hope for the best.

Well… he *could* have maybe pulled it from the same place he got that one weapon when he confronted the “tailor-bots” in Bad Wolf. You know. Hyperspace?
I was just starting to think that we were heading rapidly towards the end here – what with the Daleks popping everywhere – but then I remembered two that we still have a Gallifrey, and some Time Lords.
At some point, they’re going to have to upsettingly pop out of existence as reality corrects itself.
I’m intrigued!

Glitz! Yes! I was JUST wondering where he went off too… This is fantastic. Six-I mean Maxil to the rescue! Love. I still want to see some sort of reaction to Jack being alive and well when everyone watched him die. It’s always funny to me.
latture: I like how you say NAKED Leela. The naked part is very important. Although, it’s not ideal ’cause it’s naked, OLD Leela. But you can’t win ‘em all.

Great page. I have a question, though—I have been thinking that this story is going to end at 200 pages. You don’t have to confirm it (I’ll know if it goes on beyond that) but that’s what I was thinking.
I really wish it wouldn’t, but all good things must come to an end. Still, there’s a LOT more to go, right?

Anita: If he finished it at 200 pages I would be really sad. I know it’s coming to a close, but to finish the ENTIRE story in just 5 pages? Anything can be done, but that would feel so rushed and forced… I definitely hope he doesn’t try to finish it by 200 pages, it has so much more potential than that. D:

So far as ending at Page 200 goes, I doubt it’ll go that quickly (based on nothing but hunches), but I’m wondering how many enemies are left to deal with. Is there anyone we’ve seen still outstanding besides the Daleks, or have the Doctors put paid to everyone else at this point?
i’ve been expecting Glitz and Dax to get together in a scheme for several pages! LOVE it! Ace must be out of Nitro-9 since she’s using a gun. At least Maxil waited to see who to fight — and not to fight. Rich your fight scenes are AWESOME!

Anita: I’ve already read the next six pages (and they are awesome!), so don’t stress yourself out about page 200. There’s plenty more to come, and Rich has already mentioned – so I don’t think I’m revealing anything new here – that he’s got another Doctor Who story in the works that will follow when this one does come to a end. He’s been plotting and doodling and researching for that one for a couple of months now.

Now we just need to see what’s happening with the Doctors, in both the ‘green room’ and the room where most of them are…

Even though it appears to be coming to an end, I have a feeling there’s a few more surprises still to come and I don’t think we’re near the end as we think.

THIS is a fight scene! You got Captain Jack, the Companions’ UNIT, and Maxil’s Citadel guards beating seven shades out of the Daleks. Sweet.
I love Glitz’s expression as he helps man Drax’s ginormous laser cannon. You do manage to find ways to place comedy amongst the action.
Now all you gotta do is get Nyssa fixed up and I’ll be satisfied.

Rich, I’m glad to learn that you’re actively involved in plotting your next Who story. So I guess that means the comments from the peanut gallery haven’t been too much of a distraction.
And I’m almost out of space for more pages of this comic in my big notebook. It’s 2 and 1/2 inches. I’ve been looking at the 3 inch notebooks, just in case. I’m going to do something fancy with the cover after its all finished. I’m not sure what yet. I’ll think about that at the end however. After the post-comics blues…

Well, I would guess while the Dalek’s are toast, there’s a chance some of the High Council being fried would regenerate, which should make it easy to save them. (I mean who could be easier to undalek than someone whose neurons are reforming?)
Love the action! Glitz’s face is great as Drax dragoons him into carrying out (literally) his plan! The Brig is in top form and Jack is blasting away – and it was interesting that the good guys were blasting away for the kill shots, while the Daleks attempted to capture them alive at first, before realizing they had no choice but to exterminate!
Yeah for Jack and that mean GUN! Such a scene! Kinda POTws.

Hilary’s confirmation was most welcome, as I (and I am sure, quite a few others from your legion) was thinking that this could be *it*, with the end looming (ouch) and you admitting that this does take a lot out of you. With all this talk about ending at 200, and my experience with Rich’s humor (What’s Up Doc) how come I can picture a 200 page with a doctor yelling, “Oh know, they’ve hit the terminal Core Decoolant Switch”, followed by a “What does that mean Doctor?” from generic companion one–then a pane of the whole planet exploding in brilliant color. Final panel shows a police phone box, burned and ragged, smoking in an empty field–followed by the words–The End.

Okay, question: Rich, if you’re planning on doing another Who comic, are you going to consider this one canon as it applies to the next one? As in, are you going to assume that for the characters in the next comic the events of this comic happened at some point? Just curious.
Also, I’m slightly disturbed by how much Drax here reminds me of someone I know.

I don’t think the Doctor would necessarily object to this- certainly not the 9th. None of them are exactly keen on Daleks, and while they might prefer to try to reverse the conditioning, that’s only something they can do if the Dalek is disabled, otherwise the Daleks pose to much of a threat. Destroying the already converted ones may be necessary to save those who haven’t been converted yet, presuming a K9 can’t manage to disable all of them. The Brig did say to aim for the eyestalks, which would do the same thing to these as happened to Dalek Tor, and allow a chance to rescue the Time Lords inside, but it seems everyone else doesn’t care where they hit.
Jack looks very pleased with his big gun, has he realised yet that Drax and Glitz have outdone him?
Glad to hear there’s another Who comic in the offing! Are you planning to get The 10 Doctors coloured and inked at any point? Would be nice to see
