The Sontarans fire their laser at the door, but as they do so, the TARDIS materializes in front of it. At their moment of confusion, the 6th Doctor (now wearing the 4th Doctor’s scarf) stuns them all. He uses a sonic lance and a bit of jiggery-pokery to break into the door and comes face to face with the 4th Doctor.

Yay for a slow, gradual re-meeting of the Doctors! And the scarf is unharmed! ^_^
It’s a new habit of mine to read these and then change pronouns around. (eg. “Hello! Oh, I brought my scarf! Very good of me!”)
Ah AT LAST! Now I will see if my expectations were realistic. I do love the way you keep using one of the Doctors unexpectedly to solve the problem, Rich. Now I just want to know how Seven will get away from the Rani.

And I have this terrible feeling that the first panel of page 152 will show Doctors 3 and 5 trying very hard to stop 6 from feeding 4’s scarf to him.

The look on 6’s face is precious! I had wondered what he would do with the scarf – you had a panel with him looking up at it while it dangled from the crash site… just brilliant, Rich! Molto Bene! (er, I did spell that right, didn’t I?)
Oh my god. One Baker wearing the other’s trademark accessory. I LOVE IT! That is so adorable (in a frightening way) I don’t even know where to start. Seriously. Although you’re right–GAWWWDD, _another_ pattern on THAT outfit? (snerk)
I’m likin’ the turned-up collar, though. A bit old-fashionedy and kind of dignified. And makes him look a bit more…Fourish.
Meanwhile, I’ve seen shots in Four’s serials where he suddenly kind of…_pre_minded me of Six! “Planet of Evil”, where he had his scarf off most of the time and a wide silk cravat, for example. Those two actually have a _lot_ more in common than the same last name and curls. Stuff like:
Six is flamboyant? Look at FOUR’S original costume choices!
Six was wonked out of his gourd when he first woke up? Well, Four didn’t _strangle_ anybody, but he did sleep on a table. (snerk)
Six is uncalled-for nasty to his Companion? One word: LEELA.
Six is egotistical? My GOD, some of the things Four said about himself…
And so on… They really do share more than just a name and foofy hair. (For another odd real-life coincidence, they were both exactly 40 when they took the part.)
I’m not saying they ARE the same. Just that–considering that they’re the most and _least_ popular versions of the character!–they share an interestingly high amount of _similar_ traits. (shrug)
Of course, they’re technically THE SAME CHARACTER! This is all like being surprised that somebody is like…themself. But you know what I mean.

Ooh, I dunno about that. 6 isn’t the kind to faint from shock, but he’s just the sort to have a go at 4; not for making him think he was dead, but for allowing himself to take so many mortal risks afterwards when there was nothing left to apparently lose. “I could have killed myself! Again!!”

*laughs* I love 6’s expression in the last panel, if only because it’s so utterly *different* on him–literally ever other panel of him in the strip, he’s got that groucy/snarky/sullen expression (and so did Maxil, for that matter), but this once he’s just showing pure surprise.

I really expected more to (a) bore or (b) irritate people with that list, than anything else… But seriously–being told a lot of stuff about a Doctor before you meet them, and then being told this other one is “the fan favourite”–really makes you _notice_ things. At least it did for me.

(Actually I think Peri has it better than Leela, on the snark front. So far, if I were to count, I think she’s zinged him MORE times than he’s zinged her. The only problem is that he usually doesn’t _notice_.

There’s this one messageboard I visited that did this REALLY blinding thing on April Fool’s, I forget what it was but it was like, flaming orange and green on a purple background or some such–now _that_ was painful. Everybody was complaining about it virulently but me? I had been having eye strain lately so I ALREADY had my prescription sunglasses on. So I was fine!
(I do wish the tongue-sticking-out smiley LOOKED more like how I always intend it…or that I could get rid of it entirely. I intend it as a sarcastic, kind of self-mocking little nyeh! but it looks like a big _grin_…)
Anyway, I do really like Six’s expressions in this one, yeah. And in the last page he was in. Actually all _through_ this comic, he’s gotten some really interesting expressions. I especially like the dejected, “So this is it. I’m going to die” ones. Poor egotistical little brat Time Lord…
Although the FIENDISH ones when he’s turning something right back around on the bad guys and being Clever are also completely aces, too. Woot!

Where’s maxil? I’d forgot about him and now I’m suddenly curious about where he went.
Oh, on another note–I have actually read quite a bit of YAFGC too, from the beginning. The problem is that I then forgot to look at it for a while…and now have absolutely NO FLIPPING IDEA where I left off at. So now I can’t catch up with it anymore…
I will have you know, however, that the other day in the Sims I went and looked at my custom stuff I have dowloaded, and went, “Hmm”, when I realised I could make a person with jet black skin, red eyes, pure white hair, and pointed ears–a Drow! I immediately named her Arachne.
(And made her a Romance Sim. It was either that or Money, which is as close to a Power aspiration as the game has…) Incidentally the hairdo I gave her is the pure white version of the one I gave Peri.
Damn fangirls.
Amusingly, she lives in one of my neighborhoods where I have Doctors wandering around…and immediately started wanting to “woo-hoo” with the first one she met. To which I can only say GET IN LINE, SISTER!
Anyway, I went and made up a character named after one of _yours_, Rich. And then she gets to interact with Time Lords (…but not in THAT way if I can help it.) Yay.
And speaking of spots, bad fashion sense, and Doctors, why did I just picture Mel’s Polka Dots of Doom outfit when I read ericwisconsin’s last comment…?

I think Lightfoot and Jango, are as canon as Bigfoot and Wild Boy. Mel, Peri, Six, Four, Etc…Sometime fasions made no sense. Then again, I thought that about Zoe’s purple sparkely jumpsuit too, untill I saw her hanging onto a floating TARDIS console…Damn!

it moments like that, that make you want to watch things like ‘the five doctors’. it’s mostly just those doctor-doctor moments that keep you hanging.
brilliant job rich, and spiral- nice… but if that was ever shown on tv i think it would have a similar effect as when the artists of Pokemon portrayed a explosion using blue lines (or something) and it sent 2000 Japanese children to hospital with seizure.

Six is so awesome, I wish he had been on the show longer. He’s probably the only Doctor who would never be able to get along with any other incarnation of himself, because he’s so arrogant he thinks he’s the best regeneration.
