The companions discover that they’re suddenly inside a TARDIS. After a bit more bickering between Rose and Ace, Peri (of all people) discovers something useful. An internal communication system, that with a bit of tinkering by Romana, will enable her to get in contact with the control room.

Oh, as seems to be my habit, I feel I should mention that Peri seems a smidge tall here… Nicola Bryant is but a mere 5′3″.
…yeah, but next to Zoe, EVERYONE’s tall. At least, it seems that way.

I love this comic! This page, especially, is great. It’s so nice to see the companions really do something (Even if Romana is technically a Time Lady, anyway…)

Hey, just wanted to say I’ve been reading this (every few months) since the beginning, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s well drawn, cute, and the plot is intriguing. I love how everyone interacts… wondering, a bit, why Rose and Ace are so set against each other. I hope they sort it out in the end, although the bickering is pretty amusing.
Anyway: you do good work. I’ve heard a lot of talk about it from other people, too. You’ve got a little fandom and you should be proud of yourself

I’ve just found this FANTASTIC (as No 9 would say) comic strip, and I can’t tear myself away from it. 57 pages to go – could be a long night. The Rose vs Ace spat is beautifully drawn, and the way the others look to Romana for leadership is utterly plausible. You’re clearly a talented guy with a lot of affection for the series. Thanks so much for posting this.
Eheheh, for some reason I find myself in love with this page. Especially jiggery-pokering and Rose’s inability to not get into a catfight with another companion…

The drawings are worth of praise, stunning even at this level of pencilling and with no color… But the plot stinks: too much wording and no action… this could be a very good script for a radio play, but that’s about it…
I love Rose and all, but I got tired of them trying to make a relationship between Rose and the doctor. I wish Doctor Who would just go back to being about a man travelling in his Tardis on adventures with his companion(s). Plus the whole Rose meeting Sarah Jane kind of pissed me off a bit. yes I know Sarah got a bit of the greeneyed monster too, but then you’d be pissed if some dude told you he’d come back for you and you didn’t see him for nearly 25-30 years.

I must say I would of really liked Sarah Jane in this, probably ’cause she’s the only old companion that I know well at all. But it’s still really awesome though!

Going back through these for the 45th anniversary… Just noticed how short Jamie’s kilt is in the third panel. XD
Remember, Jamie’s one of only two males in this scene, and ALL the females (Ace, Rose, Romana II, Peri, Zoe and Jo Grant) are HOT to various degrees. As we all know Turlough has little or no charisma, we can assume that Jamie’s wearing his extra-short kilt so the ladies know he’s pleased to see them ;>)

There’s something vaguely odd about the girls being pulled apart by the only two guys in attendence. Really, does Turlough care? Not to mention Rose and Ace both could kick his butt in 5 seconds flat.

Fight!! Rose has this sense of superior entitlement to everyone around her. She was horrible to Sarah Jane. I like this with Ace (i haven’t met yet). Why she isn’t fighting with everyone else?
